MADOG’S WELLS:Madog’s Wells is situated in eight acres of beautiful countryside with woodland walks all around, plenty of wildlife and is ideal for bird-watching, walking or touring Mid Wales. You can watch the birds from your breakfast table.We have three cottages;Wren’s Nest – Sleeps 3 – 1 double and 1 single bedrooms, lounge/diner/kitchenette and a wet room.  Calor gas cooker, electric fire and oil-fired water heater, plug in radiators in the bedrooms.  The wet-room has an electric wall heater.  The lounge has comfortable seating for 3, fold-down dining table and chairs, TV with Sky Freesat. and DVD player.Blackbird Cottage – Sleeps 6 – 1 double, 2 twin-bedded rooms.  Very spacious cottage, large well equipped kitchen/diner (calor gas hobs and electric oven) and the lounge has 2 three-seater settees and an armchair,  a TV with Sky Freesat, DVD Player, hifi stereo system.  The wet-room has lots of room and there is a separate toilet with wash hand basin in case someone is too long in the shower!  Oil-fired central heating. Swallow Cottage – Sleeps 6 – 1 superking, 2 twin-bedded rooms.  This cottage is very spacious and has a large well-equipped kitchen/diner,calor gas cooker) the lounge seats 7 comfortably, 2 three seater settees and an arm chair, TV with Sky Freesat, hifi system, DVD player.  There is a private balcony from the lounge which catches the morning sun, ideal for breakfast, coffee break or lunch al fresco.  The large wet-room also contains a bath with various grab rails around it, along with a separate toilet with wash hand basin. Oil fired central heating. All three cottages are wheelchair friendly and an access statement is available here.Daily rates are available out of main holiday season (minimum stay 2 nights).There is a payphone onsite as we have no mobile phone reception here.Arrival – not before 3pm. Departure – by 10am please unless otherwise agreedAll cottages are non smoking – thanks.Limited Wireless internet availablePets by arrangement, there is a charge, 2 maximum please.All our self-catering units contain ample cooking utensils, china, cutlery, flat-screen Sky free sat TV, DVD players, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and first aid kits. All heating, bedding, linen, some towels, tea towels and utilities are included in the prices.There is ample parking and patio tables and chairs are outside each unit. A rotary clothes line, pegs and washing machines are available for guests’ use. We have a travel cot and high chair available on request.There is a children’s play area, a games room which contains darts, pool and table tennis (parental supervision for under 12’s please) and a basketball ring in the yard.Try our scaled solar system walk up a mountain to Pluto or the Woodland walk which skirts a pond, crosses bridges and wends its way around an acre of mixed woodland, bluebells, primroses and wild roses, broom and gorse. Maybe even rest a while on one of the three benches placed there to let you sit and enjoy the view.

AA 4 star Cefnsuran accommodation in our secluded farm valley right on the national trail of Glyndwr’s Way close to Offas Dyke in Knighton. We have 2 lodges with hot tubs & a cosy stone cottage with log fire. Plus a large gamesroom with full size snooker table, table tennis, darts board, table top football & pool table. All the accommodation sleep 4, plus sky, dvd, separate stereo system and a fully equip kitchen with seperate fridge and freezer. All bedding, towels, electric and heating are included. Cefn-nant lodge is the most private lodge, with a secluded hot tub 100m from the nearest lodge. Access to the hot tub is via french doors onto a large open decking area, where you can relax in the hot tub and take it the great views of the lake and surrounding hills. Deck chairs are provided. The lodge sleeps 4max with a double room with ensuite double ended bath and wc, and a twin room with a large shower ensuite and wc. The Wainhouse cottage is a cosy 15thc stone cottage with loads of character, exposed oak beams and log fire stove. You have a twin ensuite with shower and a double with ensuite bath, an open plan kitchen and lounge area, your own garden area with great views and seating .Only the cottage has Wi-Fi. Just a short stroll from the games room. Suran-y-coed lodge with great views of the open hills and listen to the birds sing. Plus the warm bubbles of your own private hot tub to relax in. This lodge is ideal for families with an enclosed garden and a small stream in which to splash around or build your own dam. Upstairs you have a twin room and a double en-suite with bath & wc. Downstairs you havea separate shower room & wc, an open plan lounge separate dining and kitchen areas, which open out on to a covered decking area with seating.

The Old School House is a 4 star rated (Visit Wales accreditation) bed and breakfast, conveniently located within a loop of The Glyndwrs Way. Making it ideal for walkers. We have a king sized double bed room, and a twin bedroom, both with en-suite facilities and complementary toiletries. Both rooms have Sky free view tv. Free wi-fi is available throughout the house.We offer a collection and drop off service from Lllanidloes / Haffren Forest / Dylife / Machynlleth / Llanbrynmair, for walkers and cyclists, and onward transportation of your luggage if required.. We offer drying facilitiies for wet clothing, washing facilities, and secure storage for bikes. Dogs are welcome , but must sleep in the utility room. Evening meals and packed lunches are available upon request. Before you set off in the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast cooked by Karen, using only locally sourced produce. Guests are welcome to relax in the conservatory, which looks out onto the garden and surrounding hills. We charge £35 per person per night, (no single supplement if using the twin bedroon, but, an additional charge of £25 if single occupancy of the double room is required)       A 2 course evening meals costs £15, and a packed lunch costs £6.

Tyddyn Retreat – The Mid Wales Retreat & Holiday Centre, is an inspiring eco venue and self-catering holiday cottages, ideally located for exploring the whole of the magical Glyndwr’s Way. A hideaway that’s secluded and private and easy to reach.The beautiful cottages are stunningly converted stone barns, filled with light and natural materials. Stylish while comfortable, with high beamed ceilings, oak floors and locally crafted furnishings, the cottages have underfloor heating powered by Ground Source, and cosy wood burners to sit around in the evenings.Tyddyn Retreat offers you a sense of luxury with the highest eco standards and little extras – steam shower, personal sauna, massage, tipi, stone circle, Summerhouse Cabin, and magical land with private seating areas. Guests can also use the wonderful workshop space as their private cinema for sharing stories of their Glyndwr’s days.We have disabled access, a laundry, drying room, lockable cycle rack, horse stabling and are dog friendly. We provide transport to take you to whichever stage of Glyndwr’s Way that you would like to walk each day, and to collect you at the end of the day. A short trip of around 20 mins is all you need to reach most sections of the trail from Tyddyn Retreat.
