The Lantern Pike Inn is Pub, Restaurant and B&B situated in Little Hayfield, on the A624 between Glossop and Chapel-en-le-Frith, and has been an Inn since 1851. The Glendale estate comprises the original period farmhouse and additional cottages on an eleven acre site incorporating a driveway lined with daffodils and rhododendrons, a small but dense wood leading to our paddock (which is ideal for giving your pony a holiday), a self-contained, fully private, heated, indoor, 10mx5m swimming pool. There is a small wooded picnic and play area with log cabin function room as well as another wooded area accommodating our free range hens.We are located right on the southern edge of Northumberland National Park, just outside of Haltwhistle. Easily found on the B6318 (North Road) known locally as the Military Road as it was constructed around 1750 by General Wade during the Jacobite Rebellion. The Military Road closely follows the route of an earlier Roman road, the original course of which runs directly through the Glendale property.Glendale is within walking distance of Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site;  and is situated centrally between Walltown Crags and Cawfields picnic area, two of the most picturesque views along the Wall. Welcome to Strand Cottage Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country.Our accommodation comprises of a large detached ensuite room with super king sized zip and link beds with memory foam mattresses, 2 comfortable chairs, fridge, colour TV/DVD player, clock radio and hot drinks tray and lovely large white bath sheets. There is a shower over the bath. This room can be set up as a double or twin bedded room. Access to this room is from the drive going up one step, so is suitable for people with walking difficulties. Dogs are allowed in this room only by prior arrangement but they may only be left alone in the room if in a cage. There is a guest lounge with log fire in inclement weather for use by guests staying in the main house. In the main house there is a double ensuite room with king size bed, memory foam mattress, colour TV/ DVD player, hot drinks tray, hairdryer and lovely white bath sheets. Both of our rooms are available for single use. Please inquire for price.  There is a pub in Bardon Mill which serves food and is only 10 minutes walk away.Situated centrally in the Hadrian’s Wall corridor this is an ideal location from which to visit all the major Roman sites and Kielder, the Lake District and many places of historical interest. Housesteads and Vindolanda (2 miles away) Roman sites are both a pleasant circular all day walk from Strand Cottage, taking in the most spectacular and highest parts of the Wall. We have secure lock up facilities for cycles and a drying room. There is an itinerary on our own website for walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall from our B&B using your car and the Hadrian’s Wall bus. There is a link above for our website. If staying for 5 or more days we have one free use of our laundry facilities.Packed lunches can be provided on request with 24 hrs notice.Carlisle with its Castle, Cathedral and Tullie House Museum are only a half hour away, and Newcastle with its many museums, art galleries and shopping is half an hour in the other direction. Newcastle airport is a short drive and the 685 bus from either Newcastle or Carlisle will stop outside our door on request. There is a train station in Bardon Mill.

The self contained holiday let, which comprises one half of the house, has two ensuite bedrooms, accommodates four people and is completely self contained. The accommodation can be increased up to six for an extra charge.Our house offers quiet accommodation off of the main road, yet is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Hebden Bridge, and 5 minutes from the railway station with its excellent bus and train service.We have private established gardens and a patio area available for use by guests. The rear of the property backs directly on to the hillside with access to the hillside paths.The house is fully centrally heated and offers versatile accommodation. Included is a welcome “get you started” pack including all of the basics such as tea, coffee, milk, bread, cereals, fruit etc.There is ample off-road parking for up to five vehicles.The ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen with all modern appliances and dining table.There is a separate lobby with a downstairs toilet and outside storage for bicycles etc.The large comfortable lounge has sofas, coffee table, freesat tv / dvd player, a Wurlitzer, a touch screen jukebox and a flame effect fire. There are a selection of games and books. Patio doors lead on to the patio area which has garden furniture. Unlimited broadband access is always available.The two main letting bedrooms can be configured for twin or super king size and both have ensuite bathrooms. The beds have Limoges 1500 pocket sprung mattresses for a good nights sleep.All bedrooms have TV, hair dryer and come with all towels and toiletries.A high chair and travel cot are available. Halstead Green is a 5 double/twin bedroom former farm house and barn in Calderdale West Yorkshire. The area includes the towns of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden . The area lies about 10 miles from Bronte country and the town of Howarth, famous for the Bronte parsonage museum where literary family lived.The cultural centre of Hebden Bridge with its many independent shops, cafes and cinema is about 2 miles away and a short bus ride and Todmorden, with its traditional market and famous town hall is about 4 miles away. The area boasts many historic buildings, from weavers cottages and rural inns to former mills, often associated with the area’s long standing links to textile production. The surrounding countryside is highly accessible for walkers, horse riders and cyclists with wooded valleys, including the National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags, dry stone wall enclosed fields and rugged moorland and reservoirs “on the tops”, all on the doorstep. The Pennine Way passes within half a mile or so but there are many other footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways to exploreThe area lies between Manchester and Leeds .Halstead Green is in the hamlet of Colden, about two miles north-west of Hebden Bridge and near the historic village of Heptonstall. Land Farm open garden is located just along the lane. May’s shop is a general grocer and off-license and just a few minutes walk from Halstead Green. The New Delight Inn is also in Colden, serving food and drink and also hosting campers and caravanners.Th village of Heptonstall is about 1 miles from Colden. The writers Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath spent their early married life near the village. Sylvia Plath is buried in Heptonstall churchyard. The Ted Hughes Arvon Centre, “>Lumb Bank , is between Colden and Heptonstall, and the house which once belonged to them. Heptonstall is an impressive medieval village, with a myriad of weavers cottages an other ancient buildings, the most notable being the ruined church. Heptonstall has two pubs, The White Lion and The Crown Inn, a cafe and a post office, all close together towards the bottom of the road through the vilage, Smithwell Lane.There is a regular bus service to and from Hebden Bridge. From Hebden Bridge (or Todmorden) there are buses to the surrounding towns and villages and direct trains towards Manchester (about 1/2 hour) or Leeds (about 1 hour). The recently restored unique Grade I Listed Piece Hall in Halifax hosts a range of events year round and includes independent shops, galleries and restaurants. The area has been used for many film and television locations in recent years including Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax and Peterloo.

Expect a warm welcome at Hebden Bridge Hostel, which provides accommodation in small dorms, private rooms and a 6-bed bunkroom, all en suite. Riverview bed and breakfast is situated on an elevated bank between the Rochdale canal and Calder river, less than a mile along the tow path from Callis Bridge, and is the closest accommodation to the Pennine Way at this point. It enjoys wonderful views of the surrounding hills and woodland that characterise this most southerly part of the Yorkshire Dales. Hebden Bridge town centre is a ten minute walk along the canal, where you can enjoy a vibrant and eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, a theatre and the wonderful, historic Picture House. The famous Stubbing Wharf pub with its live music, storytelling, superb food and range of local and artisan ales is a 20 second walk from Riverview, in the other direction -great for weary walkers after a long day’s trek! Alternatively, we’re happy to recommend and book alternative restaurants if you wish to venture in to town.Riverview has one double and one twin room, each with its own bathroom. We offer a wide range of breakfasts and cater for vegetarian and vegans.  In addition, we’re happy to provide a packed lunch to see you on your way. We have drying facilities if the weather is less than clement and a sun porch to store boots, poles and backpacks. You’re welcome to use the garden where there is a table and chairs overlooking the hillside and woods opposite. We are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs for a nominal charge of £5.00 per night.

This spacious terraced cottage will comfortably accommodate up to five guests with two bedrooms, and an additional room on the first floor with a futon-style sofa bed that can either be used as an additional living/reading room or as an additional sleeping space for the fifth person. The ground floor living area has dividing doors between the living room and kitchen, so the two rooms can either be separated or kept open-plan, making the space lovely and bright. Welcome to Strand Cottage Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country.Our accommodation comprises of a large detached ensuite room with super king sized zip and link beds with memory foam mattresses, 2 comfortable chairs, fridge, colour TV/DVD player, clock radio and hot drinks tray and lovely large white bath sheets. There is a shower over the bath. This room can be set up as a double or twin bedded room. Access to this room is from the drive going up one step, so is suitable for people with walking difficulties. Dogs are allowed in this room only by prior arrangement but they may only be left alone in the room if in a cage. There is a guest lounge with log fire in inclement weather for use by guests staying in the main house. In the main house there is a double ensuite room with king size bed, memory foam mattress, colour TV/ DVD player, hot drinks tray, hairdryer and lovely white bath sheets. Both of our rooms are available for single use. Please inquire for price.  There is a pub in Bardon Mill which serves food and is only 10 minutes walk away.Situated centrally in the Hadrian’s Wall corridor this is an ideal location from which to visit all the major Roman sites and Kielder, the Lake District and many places of historical interest. Housesteads and Vindolanda (2 miles away) Roman sites are both a pleasant circular all day walk from Strand Cottage, taking in the most spectacular and highest parts of the Wall. We have secure lock up facilities for cycles and a drying room. There is an itinerary on our own website for walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall from our B&B using your car and the Hadrian’s Wall bus. There is a link above for our website. If staying for 5 or more days we have one free use of our laundry facilities.Packed lunches can be provided on request with 24 hrs notice.Carlisle with its Castle, Cathedral and Tullie House Museum are only a half hour away, and Newcastle with its many museums, art galleries and shopping is half an hour in the other direction. Newcastle airport is a short drive and the 685 bus from either Newcastle or Carlisle will stop outside our door on request. There is a train station in Bardon Mill.

Castle Hill View is a comfortable well cared for stone built cottage in the unspoiled region of Northumberland. Walking, cycling, fishing, shops close by, hotels, pubs and restaurants all nearby. Ideally situated for Hadrian’s Wall (10 miles), Kielder Water (7 miles), Hexham (17 miles), the Northumbrian coast and Cheviot Hills all easily reached by car. This area is so beautiful, not to be missed. Bellingham also has its own golf course where visitors are always welcome.Lock Up Mews is a compact studio apartment completed renoved in 2009 to a very high standard and comfortably sleeps 2. It is conveniently situated in the village centre. Although at street level, wheelchair access is limited within the apartment.Lock Up Mews is an open plan area with a fully equipped kitchen including washer/dryer and breakfast bar. In the living area there is 2 seater leather sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV with DVD player and a chest of drawers. The sleeping area has a comfortable double bed and wardrobe leading to a shower room with double size walk-in shower, toilet, basic and heated towel rail.The all electric apartment is heated by night storage heater.The tariff includes all linens (towels and bedding) and all electricity costs.

Bellingham Camping and Caravanning Club site is located directly on the Pennine Way, south of busy Bellingham village.  It is a 15-20 munute stroll to the village and just 10 minutes to the nearest hostelry serving good beer and food.  We are located at GR836826, 250m north of the point at which the Pennine Way meets the B6320 Hexham to Bellingham road.We offer secluded camping spots for backpackers, with special camping rates (for both members and non-members of the Club). Rates start at £5.90 (low season) and max charge is £8.75 per person (high season), with members of the C&C Club paying about 20% less.We are within the Northumberland National Park, part of the new Northumberland Dark Sky Park area (so bring your binoculars at least!) .There is a well-stocked shop on site (including fresh milk, locally sourced bread, eggs, bacon, sausages). A fully equipped modern kitchen enables preparation of hot meals and drinks.  We have full washroom/shower facilities, with free hot water 24/7, a laundry on site (additional charge) and free WiFi access.  Wansbeck House, our fairly newly refurbished indoor space offers warm relaxation space, with log fire, TV, the aforementioned kitchen, drying room and table tennis room. Backpackers and camping pod users are given automatic use of these areas, whilst other campers need to request use.If you fancy a more luxurious night, the site has 4 insulated and heated (optional) camping pods for hire (£45 per night) which can accommodate up to 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 younger children. Own mattresses and bedding required (camp beds can be hired). Pods are best booked directly via the site.  In low/mid season, advance booking is not so vital but it is worth phoning to check availability.Note that we operate a policy never to turn backpackers away from the site.  However, we would prefer to know of your arrival to ensure we find a reasonable spot for your tent in busy periods or if you are likely to arrive late (quite likely if coming north on the Pennine Way from Greenhead or Haltwhistle!)We welcome you to Bellingham Camping and Caravanning Club site!Club Franchisees David and Johanna
